In addition to enjoying playing clarinet in the Cottonwood Community Band, Jan serves as website editor and board member of Chronic Joy, where her love of words fills the spaces between being a wife, mom, grandmother, and retired music educator. She plays ukulele with the Village Ukulele People and subs for the Verde Valley Ringers. Jan and her husband, Gerry, divide their time between Sterling, Alaska, and Sedona, Arizona. While in Sedona, Jan and Gerry delight in the breathtaking Red Rock views and amazing hiking trails; when in Alaska, they take advantage of red salmon fishing and the Midnight Sun summers.
