Deb Roberts.jpg

Deb Roberts has been in our percussion section since 2017.  She moved to Arizona in 2015 after retiring as a dental hygienist in Warrensburg, New York.  Warrensburg is in upstate New York about 70 miles from Lake Placid where the 1980 Olympics took place.  When her oldest son enrolled in a music program at the local community college, it introduced her to a whole new world.  She began with Fundamentals of Music and joined the chorale.  From there, she took voice lessons and also sang in the voice ensemble.  Finally, her interest grew and she enrolled in the 2 year music program.  The wonderful head of the music program asked her if she would join the symphonic band.  She jokingly told her only if she could play the triangle.  And that's how she ended up in the percussion section. Besides percussion, Deb's passions are her family, her church, Verde Valley Voices, The Old Town Mission and Operation Christmas Child.
