Established in 1990, the Cottonwood Community Band consists of instrumentalists from the Verde Valley and Sedona. The members vary in age from high school students to retirees. The band rehearses on Monday evenings from 7-9 PM at the Cottonwood Middle School, Room 301, and presents two concerts each year as well as performing at community events. New Members are always welcomed.

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Cottonwood Community Band to provide an opportunity for primarily adult area musicians with at least minimum skill levels to rehearse and perform concert band literature and develop their musical talents, to promote musical participation, education, appreciation and enjoyment in our community and its schools, and to enrich the cultural life of the community through our performances.

As a non-profit 501c3 organization, the Cottonwood Community Band welcomes your fully tax deductible donation. The donations are used to cover the costs of purchasing music, hall rental, and other operating expenses. The band members and conductor volunteer their time and expertise to bring their music to the Verde Valley.

A sincere THANK YOU to those who have recently made generous donations to our band:

Email received 5/5/14 regarding the band's Concert in Sedona on 5/4/14

I attended your concert in Sedona yesterday and would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on such a fine product. Community bands are many and varied, but this local version is to be commended for tackling such a rich and challenging program. I have worked on recording projects with Robert W Smith and am certain he would be pleased with the work exerted to play his pieces well. The same goes for the performance of Jerry Brubaker's piece. Jerry is a longtime friend and colleague, now living in Colorado. Thanks again for an enjoyable afternoon,

Carl Rowe
